The Maajhigaun Integrated Quake-resistant Settlement, in Chautara, Sindhupalchok, was inaugurated by a host of celebrities on Tuesday. The settlement, which is currently under construction, is a solo endeavour of actress Shweta Khadka. Once completed, the settlement will be home to a total of 63 quake-affected families.
The event saw musical and comedic performances by the visiting artists such as Jitu Nepal, Nikhil Upreti, Pramod Kharel, Yubaraj Chaulagain, Shivahari Bairagi, Basundhara Bhusal and Gopal Kayastha.
During the formal program, Boom Remittance Pvt.Ltd has donated NRs. 7 Lakhs 11 thousands to Shweta Shree Foundation (SSF). The financial aid will be utilized in the Unified Exemplary Society through the SSF.
Dhirendra Pant,Managing Director of the Boom Remittance, handed over the committed amount cheque to the Mrs Shweta Khadka . Speaking at the program, Panta said that the Boom Remittance has decided to provide financial support to the foundation thinking the small support of the company will provide great relief to the earthquake victims.
“Boom Remittance social responsibility goes hand in hand with the efforts made by Actress Khadka , who has been aiding in reconstruction of households at Chautara Sangachock Gadhi Municipality ward number 14, Sindhupalchok" he said.
